Learn the basics of woodburning in a class
Asheville store: November 4th 9:30am - 5pm
Hickory store: September 30th 9:30am - 5pm
Cost: $85 (includes materials)
In this class, you will learn basic pyrography (woodburning) techniques to add interest to your wood projects. This is not woodburning like you may have learned in scouts. Instead, it is very detailed like a pen and ink drawing, yet easy to learn. If you can trace lines, you can create a drawing. In this class you will learn safety, how to use the basic pens, and then follow along with Michele to create your first pyrographic masterpiece on a basswood blank.
Class size is limited to 10 students. Bring your enthusiasm, variable temperature woodburning equipment and pens (some equipment is available for loan on a first-come basis; request at registration), and a pencil/pen.
Register at the Klingspor store. Hurry, class size is limited!
Instructor: Michele Parsons, frequent author for Fox Chapel Publishing's Pyrography magazine and pyrography instructor for the International Woodcarving Congress, Fox Chapel Publishing Open House, and Southeastern Woodcarving School.
